South India by Bike
This is a glimpse at Rob and Mary Morrison cycling from Goa to Chennai via the southern most point of the great sub continent of wonderful India and the wonderful people we meet on the way. We have not yet arrived in Chennai as yet but couldn't wait to upload this bit.as at early February 2012. It is also not a race but a meandering as we stop and talk to those who stop us on the roads asking all sorts of questions, mostly "What Country" etc even though we have it posted both front and rear of both bikes. Yes it is dangerous bicycling the roads but there is almost always the ability to get off the road a midst danger unlike some western countries which love having those damned curbs on each side of the road along with a completely intolerant driving fraternity who think that anything other than a motorized vehicle should not be allowed. It is the case where if you can handle cycling in India then you can cycle anywhere and everywhere which of course is the objective as always. Exhausting as it is, with the intense heat of the afternoons, the constant use of the vehicle horn and the usual hills and many obstacles, there is a wonderful sense of achievement after every day's journey that keeps you going and around every corner is a new horizon. All the usual domestics like trying to find somewhere to sleep is a never ending hassle but what the hell, it is all part of the challenge. The motivation to film each day is simply not there unfortunately because of the effort to get <b>...</b>

YY10FRR and KF51EEX - stupidly close passes
I've left this running for so long for one reason, YY10FRR can't shake me after the pinch point overtake. He got to the stop line maybe 10 seconds before I did. I should add, I was on the mountain bike today, so I wasn't exactly racing along to catch him. KF51EEX was just an atrocious piece of driving, I can't decide whether it was a late amber or jumping red, but the overtake was crap

Car runs red light, hits girl on bike, then drives away.
I saw this minor accident and then I saw the guy drive away. I decided to follow the guy to be sure I got the license number. When he stopped, he said he was going back and he was just looking for a safe place to stop. Whatever. The girl didn't seem to be hurt, but she was shaken up. She definitely needs a new bike. I went back to the scene and I gave her my info and told her I had a video. Two other witnesses were stopped there helping her. The driver that hit her did go back to the scene and they exchanged information. I hope everything turns out OK for her. Leave a comment and let me know if you think he would have gone back if I didn't follow him.
